During the manufacturing process of our rubber sheets we carry out the following tests:

  • Thickness
  • Shore Hardness
  • Tensile Strength
  • Abrasion Resistance
  • Specific Gravity
  • Elongation at break
  • Adhesion Strength
  • Spark Test

The above-mentioned tests are carried out with the following equipment in our inhouse testing lab:

  • Digital Vernier Caliper
  • Hardness Tester (Degree Shore A)
  • Specific Gravity Balance
  • Tensile Testing Machine
  • DIN Abrasion Testing Machine
  • IS Abrasion Testing Machine
  • Spark Tester 40 KV
  • Adhesion Strength Testing Machine

All rubber lined rollers are tested 3 times with spark tester unit at high voltage, this ensures that there are breaks in the lining. The first test is carried out after preliminary rubber lining, the second test is carried out after partial curing to gauge the shrinkage of the rubber and the final test is carried out when the Roller is taken out from the autoclave. We carry out these tests to ensure that only quality lining goes out of our factory. The tests also allow is to ensure that there are no pinholes, blowholes or small hair-line gaps. We take utmost care to supply rubber lined Rollers which will give trouble-free service for years.

Quality is not just a duty at Bhavick, but a way of Life. All the raw materials that go into our formulations are inspected thoroughly prior to approval for use. Mixed compounds are tested to ensure that they meet our customer`s specification. Continuous on-line quality inspection during the rubberlining process ensures quality consistency.
